NARRATIVE
Kennedy was eastbound on WYO 220 and Kleinschmit was westbound. Kleinschmit was operating a tractor trailer combination pulling an empty tanker. At this location WYO 220 has three lanes of travel. Eastbound has one lane of travel and the uphill westbound side has two lanes of travel, the inside lane being a passing lane. Kleinschmit’s vehicle was in the inside passing lane as he had just completed passing another vehicle. Kennedy was behind another vehicle and according to witness’s, it appears that he pulled out to pass that vehicle. Kleinschmit attempted to steer to the right to avoid a collision however, Kennedy’s vehicle struck the drivers side duals on the trailer.
Traffic was diverted into one lane around the crash scene until Troopers completed their investigation and cleared the debris from the roadway.
